The microfiber towels are Chinese-made, dual pile towels. They’re not double-sown or super heavy. I love how these work for what I intend to use them for - the wax/sealant comes right off and doesn’t get pushed around. I don’t have an explanation for why I chose to go with gray; I guess it’s more so for uniformity and to have different colors in my .
The Wax/Sealant Hex Grip pads are an ergonomic dream. Applying wax and sealant can wear out your fingers if you don’t have the right pad. I’ve been using these for years, and they’re my favorite by a long shot for this application. I love the pliability of these pads and how well they get into curves and tight spots. The stiffness of the handle reduces fatigue significantly.
I use the yellow pad for sealant and the red pad for wax. No logic there; that’s just my quirky process.
