I had to wire brush the keyway inside before it would fit over the crank snout as the paint was preventing it from fitting. This wasn't a huge deal, but also, the hole in the end of the positioning tool didn't fit over the pin that pokes out of the block. I could have drilled the hole bigger, but I got it close enough. Not the end of the world, but before you try to get the crank set, test fit the hole end over the alignment pin and see if you want to widen the hole on the tool.***Update***Changing to 1 star because of the valve spring compressor tool. What a miserable piece of junk this was during the very short time I used it. To start, the shape of the tool is incorrect. You cannot get to top screw knob on when positioned in the head because the stem is too long or the forks are at the wrong angle. I had to put the forks into a vice and bend them back about 1/4 inch before I could get the knob on. After figuring that out (ate up about an hour of messing around) I finally got a whopping ONE roller follower in. On the next use, I wasn't totally aligned on the valve spring keeper and it bent one of the feet. I tried to bend it back and it IMMEDIATELY snapped off like it was made out of hardened cheese.This tool is such a useless piece of garbage that I would urge you to NOT buy this kit. Yes, it's cheap, but because of this, I am stuck in the middle of the job and will lose the weekend an will have to take a day off of work to finish. I am beyond pissed with this cheap garbage. How much is your time and sanity worth?I now have to order the real tool which I should have done in the first place. If you're going to do a timing set on a triton and you're not a pro, I would urge you to reconsider. I've done a lot of work like this previously as a non-mechanic, and I've never done such a miserable job. I wish I would have just sent this out. Never again.Products came as scheduled.I first will say the the cam locking gear worked well and i had not issue with it. But the valve spring compressing tool not good at all. I was able to use for a few valves but if I had to bend the tool in a vise so that i would even work. After a few valves, the tool started to bend so much that it was able to work any more. So I went back to the vise to bend it back to a useful position again, and it broke! Very frustrated with this particular tool. I then went a bought a more expensive valve compression tool for ~$37 and it worked like a charm....wish i would've bought that first.The valve spring compressor worked great after about 20 minutes of precision grinding. The foot is too large to fit in all areas of the cylinder head, needs to be reduced in size. I remove about 1/4 inch from the tips, and the cap for the ball bearing at the top needed to be ground as well to allow the spring compressor enough travel to release rocker arm. Also the caps machining had burrs that needed to be removed from where the ball bearing rides. Also the ball bearing it self had to smoothed a little so it would easily fit is cap. Long story short, its faster to modify cheap tools than it is to wait for a better quality tool to arrive.The valve pusher is to wide, and bends easy. I almost lost 2 valves because of this tool. I had to trim some off the sides to make it work. It kept touch the walls and other valves.The tool for the roller followers was just a little bit off. We made adjustments and pulled exhaust followers and then readjusted to take off intake followers, rotated the shaft and repeated the process. Eventually we broke the tool and got a replacement.All the other tools fit perfectly. All in all it was a good value.The valve compressor was used and the catch threads on th knurled knob were gone and I had to modify the compressor. The cheese chain tension holder was WAY to thick and would not go past the head. Do not purchase this product.Just know this may not fit your engine 100%. I had to modify the valve spring compressor tool for it to work right. Other than that they did the job rebuilding my engine. Runs like a top now!
