I used this to remove the stripes on my old mini Cooper that were all cracked and not coming off easily with heat due to the cracks. I tried this with my drill on the low setting because I was afraid idled damaging paint and it slowly chipped away at it. Once I put my drip on high soeee the strips came right off. I went along the stripe in right to left as the wheel was spinning clockwise to the right and the stripe easily came off. It creates a ton of dust as the wheel disintegrates so I recommend doing it outside with eye protection and mask and a leaf blower to blow the dust away. This saved me hours.This tool worked perfect i had this very old vinyl wrapped roof on my subaru sti that wouldnt come off from being to brittle and old i used a heat gun then used this eraser with a drill and the vinyl came right out in pieces without damaging the paint i was very happy with it and i got to do whole roof with one wheel as long as u use heat gun with itI used this to remove those annoying stickers that the manufacturer put on our RV. It was simple to use and worked great in removing those stubborn stickers and the glue residueUsed this to remove a lot of old, sun-baked on stickers from a car. If you have a good 2 speed handheld drill it will be perfect for this. It will completley remove the sticker, and doesnt wear down quickly either. Just be ready for it to make a mess. I wouldnt use it indoors or in a garage. Creates a bunch of fine rubber yellow bits, they get everywhere but wash off easy. Also be careful with painted surfaces. It wont harm glass at all but if you use it on painted areas for too long, it can wear off the paint.I was very surprised at how easy this wheel removed the dried out sticker on the hood of my 2017 Ford Raptor. I would buy again with out hesitation.You need to be patient using this tool. The pin stripes I took off were 20yrs old and were pretty stubborn.I removed the hood decal from my Raptor. Took about an hour and consumed one wheel and started another.After buying a fibreglass boat that had a terrible name I deliberated for months over how to get rid of the decals. Most traditional methods seemed a pain and the stickers were baked on so I couldn't pick them off. My boat has a white GRP hull and I was really worried about marking it.Everyone I asked told me the best way to do it was with a hair dryer and scraper (but with the boat on a mooring and no power nearby I couldn't get a hair dryer plugged in close enough). I read about the Whizzy Wheel a while back and kept putting the job off as I was concerned there wasn't much evidence of it working safely on boat hulls (mostly cars).Eventually I cracked, bought a Whizzy Wheel, stuck it on a battery drill and sat in the dinghy alongside.Well, I can confirm to all boat owners that it works brilliantly. I have removed the names quickly and easily with virtually no residue left. Just needs a wipe with degreaser and a polish afterwards. If the names have been there for ages you may get a slight faded outline but its not that noticeable (far less than a bad name!)For some reason the manufacturers don't say much about boats and go on about car bodywork but this does work well on fibreglass hulls if you are careful. Make sure the surfaces are dry otherwise there's not enough friction and keep it moving to avoid too much heat build up.Just take it easy with medium pressure and the wheel flat against the surface.I was quite cautious so started the drill from very slow, just accelerating until the wheel started nibbling away the stickers. After a minute you find the best combo of pressure and speed. Don't forget to direct the rotation of the wheel against the edge of the stickers like you would picking it off with a fingernail.10/10 (on white GRP - not tried on other colours but I think you would be ok)Just don't forget to rename your boat properly afterwards to avoid bad luck, lots of advice out there on the correct ceremony :)Fantastic for getting those decals off.Easy to use BUT BE WARNED ( as it states don't keep the wheel in 1 spot or you might damage/ burn the paint )Especially be careful if taking decals off of plastic panels.This is an amazing tool. Does exactly what is is supposed to do. I used it to remove a damaged protective strip on my mountain bike so that I could put on a new one. The Whizzy Wheel removed the strip with ease and no damage to the frame paintwork whatsoever. Gone are the days of picking off bits of decal and using solvents that do not dissolve the paintwork underneath ( problem is that such solvents do not remove the decal also).I would not hesitate in highly recommending the Whizzy Wheel.No complaints about the service, spot on. As has been mentioned by other posters this is not a practical solution for removing full signage off of a commercial panel van, that is better done with a heat gun and plastic razor blades in a long handled holder. But it is very effective for small decals and pin striping on cars. It produces quite a bit of dust but leaves the paint unmarked. After purchasing I noticed what appeared to be an identical product from Sealey, which was less expensive. All in all, a good idea, but needs to be more durable for the commercial market. I gave it four stars because the product works and the business owner is enthusiastic.
