I'm a newbie to quilling, wanted to get rolling in one shot with most of the tools I would need. I just unboxed this YURROAD 19pc kit and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the items for the price! I didn't notice that the item page does list everything included if you scroll down. All the plastics are thick and seem that they will stand up to extensive handling without a problem. Pins are sharp, shapes on attached to quilling (cork) board are numbered for ease of duplication, and includes half circles, which is kinda nice. It also has the "pin hole fan" pattern. Cleverly, you can use the back of it to create your own size and shape, as it is all cork on the flip side. The glue bottle - possibly the most important item in the pack! - is a perfect size and has a long metal tip for more versatile and accurate placement of glue. The bore is very small, and while I haven't tried it, I wonder if you might choose to SLIGHTLY water down your standard white glue to prevent clogging. But it may be just fine. Includes flexible tip cover which is thankfully attached to the bottle neck! You may choose to use an elastic to hold it against the body while quilling so it doesn't flop into the way. The 5 dimensional tools were luckily much larger than they appeared to me in the picture. While they don't come with a handle like some, I doubt you'll miss it. All edges are smooth and seam-free, as are all the plastics in the set. The curling coach is thick and smooth, but - and this may be the only "error" - the tool hole isn't centered on the concentric circles, so matching up to the lines isn't possible. The comb: I tried to pull the comb tines from the base, but they held fast. Spacing is uniform, and they are each labeled with raised numbers that you will have to highlight with a marker to see well, but I don't think they're used very much anyway. The grooves in the handle are also uniform and seamless , and the handle is solid, not hollow. The making board allows you to dome or cone a tightly rolled strip, to make eyes or beaks or anything! It is, again, good quality, perhaps even thicker than needed, and smooth to facilitate use. I did appreciate the inclusion of both and awl and tweezers - hard to mess those up but definitely wanted in your arsenal. Pattern Plate (Peg board) is a comfortable size and good weight, with uniform holes, and smooth metal pegs that have their OWN storage drawer - love it! The other circle template is also numbered, and has every size you could possibly need. The "quilling Ruler" is actually along the edge of this piece, and not its own tool. And now, my favorite piece: The Crimper! You may not tell from the pic, but it has 2 sets of wheels to offer 2 different gauges of crimp. It was very snug - too snug, IMHO - when it arrived, so I loosened the lone screw a hair or two and it is smooth as silk now. In closing of this novelette, I will say that for the short money, this is easily the obvious choice for a newbie like myself; the only downside, if you want to call it that, is the lack of paper strips and glue, so order those at the same time. Realize you can cut your own strips (use a blade and ruler, or paper cutter), or use a manual paper shredder - that will be my next purchase. If they tossed in a small pkg of strips and upped the price a few bucks, it would be the perfect beginner kit! You WON"T be disappointed! Get two and start quilling with a friend!I'm going to go over every tool included in the kit, from the perspective of someone who's been quilling for a few years, but who is not willing to invest a fortune on high end tools:The scissors are solid, light, and very sharp; excellent for precision cuts. They are about 5in, tip to bottom of the handles. The quilling pen has a pretty cheap plastic handle, but otherwise, it's very serviceable. The glue bottle is bigger than the ones I am used to, while still small--the needle tip, and the cap (attached with stretchy rubber, WIN!) are great for quilling. The awl is, frankly, CHEAP. The handle in mine came with left over plastic bits from the factory mold, and it is too thick to serve as a needle tool. Still, it's a perfectly serviceable awl for small projects. The tweezers are a little too thick at the tip for small project, but work well for larger coils. The cork board with the forms is smaller than I expected (about half-letter size), and the cork itself is pretty dry. Rather than risk getting cork bits in my coils, I carefully separated it from the plastic frame, covered it with very thin clear plastic film (from a small resealable bag) and fitted into the plastic form again. Works perfectly!I really like the plastic circle sizing board; it's the same one a number of quilling folks I follow in youtube use, which makes it a lot easier to try and replicate their designs. It's also pretty sturdy. The 3rows 3D form is good for basic shaping, with the smallest circular dome shape about a quarter inch in diameter, up to one and sixth eights inches for the largest. Also sturdy plastic there. The quilling comb is pretty large-- while the teeth themselves are not thicker than, say, the comb I purchased through the Quilling Superstore, they are more widely spaced, so all the loops will be longer, and all designs larger. The paper crimper is wide enough for strips up to 3/8in wide, and has two different sets of rollers, so one can choose the density of the crimping depending on the design. The pattern plate with pins is a lot nicer than I expected, though it's also quite small--the area with the holes is about 3in by 3in. However, it comes with 21 pins, all of which fit perfectly across the board, and the little storage drawer is designed to close tightly so no pins roll around loose on the table (or floor) at a careless move. The curling coach is of excellent quality, same as you could get from Quilling Creations or such. The five stacked forms (circle, oval, diamond, triangle and square) are made of fairly thin plastic, but don't have any random plastic bits that would tear or deform the paper strips. Each level is about 3/8in wide, though I'm certain one could roll wider strips on them by taking it slowly and with care. All in all, an excellent value for the price. This set of paper quilling tools is a good value, but the low price does come with some downsides. Hopefully the photos are clear enough.Pro's:-everything arrived as a set, no missing pieces.-All the tools seem to be sturdy and good quality, including the scissors-honestly I was pleasantly surprised by how good the scissors are.-Everything, except the shape towers, is clean, well packaged and appears to be new, not a repackaged return.-the pins are very fine, so they shouldn't leave gaping holes in your work.Con's:-the corkboard shape guide has some glue seepage in several slots that will need cut out, it does NOT have the printed grid on the reverse side, and a few of the shapes have minor defects but the defects won't effect the final quilled piece.-The tear-drop shape tower has a blunted, almost squared "bottom" curve on the first 5 tiers...not a big deal, the paper is easily rounded after removed from the shaper.-All 5 shaper towers have scuffs, scratches and minor stains. These don't affect their use but does make me think that they might have been used, even though the rest of the tools are obviously new.-the little "person-shaped" quilling coach is printed off-center...again, it doesn't really detract from its function, but is a bit low quality.-the pins are badly painted, with some pins having paint all the way down to the point, that will need to be scraped or cleaned with solvent before use, so that it doesn't get transferred to the project when it's glued.Overall, a really good set of tools and I would buy them again, but they do have some annoying but workable flaws....Lots in the box, good starter kit however, title misleading as it implies you get paper in this kit. It implies you can order this and get started but there was no paper so cant use it till i get some paper. Disappointing but looking forward to trying it.really liked this product. lots of things in the box, all seem to be useful. I watched some basic tutorials and the stuff in the box are what they suggest you use. It would benefit from having some strips of paper in the kit to have a trial with when it arrives rather than ordering it separatelyWell packaged and recieved on time. No instructions are provided but plenty of videos available on you tube. Not the greatest quality but the tools are adequate for beginners to get started. Paper is not included and must therefore be ordered separately. Overall, not a bad purchase. All you could possibly want for starting quilling only thing I would suggest is what to do with each piece of equipment even if it’s just a diagram photo.just what I needed to add to my collection
