Update: went up to 5 stars because Worx has an excellent customer service. They are now sending me a replacement. Hopefully this next brush would work betterBought this June, the rotary tool works wonders.. however, the airbrush.. waste of money. I tested it today, and it wasn't spraying paint at all. Then after that it started spraying splotches of paint.. and then when i tried to check what's wrong, the golden colored tip that holds the needle is broken, can't be screwed in anymore. Tried to log in to their site to get my product registration, they won't accept my log in, so whenever I request for a password change, they'd email a link but then it says link invalid. And when I finally got to log in, it now says my ip is blocked. Good Job, Worx.I have to say that I have been a WORX fan for a lot of years. I bought my first WORX trimmer when there wasn’t even an Amazon. I bought it off of a TV commercial, and I don’t even know how many years ago that was. I have a lot of their tools, and I am a huge fan of their products. They’re always well-made and reliable. I am a builder and a crafter, and I wanted to start doing some woodworking and carving, and I thought that this Tool set might be something that I would like. And, I was right. It’s very easy to use, especially for anyone who has ever used any sort of Dremel type tool. It’s very similar, and very smooth and much quieter than a lot of them. I just love WORX! I would definitely purchase this set again, and I look forward to a lot of years using it and my other WORX tools.I grabbed the Makerx rotary tool and soldering iron pack while looking for a replacement rotary tool, and I am writing this about 6 months after my purchase, as I am well aware of how the initial period after a new purchase of a cool tool can induce a short period of fan-boy syndrome, before acknowledging a host of glaringly obvious issues. However, I am glad to say that I am still using the Makerx system daily. So, the best parts.. First is it is incredibly light and thin, which is a bonus compared to some of the other lower-cost rotary tools that are almost unwieldy. The speed is 100% constant as long as you don't overuse the tool and apply too much torque, which is standard with most rotary tools and helps to prevent rapidly broken fingers and wrists, this is a precision tool and not to be used in place of a large craftsmen or Makita Drill or an actual drill press. The biggest thing I love about this is that it is whisper quiet, and I have used it many times at 3:00 AM in my small studio apartment where a normal conversation can keep the neighbors awake. While some other rotary tools do have similar features, such as the WEN cordless rotary tool, which is powered by a 4.2v Lithium Ion Battery, the Makerx is powered by a 20v battery with the same power as any other power-tool interchangeable battery, giving the Makerx Immensely more power, RPM, and battery life.In terms oif the Soldering Iron, this has become my standard daily use soldering iron. I also have 2 TS80 Smart soldering irons and a dedicated soldering station. Prior to this, the $100+ TS80 was my main soldering iron, but the Makerx has since surpassed it. It heats up just as fast, keeps the heat, and cools off very fast, has built in temp display and control on the iron, and it works. I can go through tips fast, but the original tip is still perfect on this Sure, I can't play pacman on it or program a boost temp for when I solder things with higher heat-loss properties, but that's really not needed. I turn it on and solder.. that is it. Both devices give me the performance and power of a standard power tool, but while being very portable. As far as the negatives, and everything has a negative.. I noticed the Rotary tool had a tendency of catching the built in chuck, especially when I pushed it beyond it's torque capability. I don't know if this is a specific issue with my unit, or all of them. However, as a Maker, I prefer doing my own repairs, and the Makerx makes this incredibly easy. They have no screws. You unscrew the top and bottom rings and the rotary tool separates easily into little easily replaceable modules. It is neat just to take a look at it to see the little details that went into the engineering of this. I believe the spring wasn't as strong as it should have been, but I ended up removing the chuck, as it is just as easy to use a any nearby item as the key, and it completely removes the chance of an issue. Other than that, you can't use this without a battery. So, if you only have one battery, when it dies, you aren't using these until it is recharged, which is fairly quick, but having the ability to use wall power is a large annoyance at times. However... I do realize that building the power and battery charger into the power hub would add significant size, mass, and most likely cost. So like all awesome tools, we have to deal with a few annoyances for improvements. As far as the soldering iron goes, I have no negatives to report, other than I wish they included a hot-knife blade, but yes, I did buy one..... and that just demonstrates how useful this is.Worx products really works for me. I have several power tools and have been satisfied with them. I love the facts I can use the same batteries for all of them. This is a very convenient, and powerful little set of woodworking toolsSo excited to have found these on sale they work great and such great quality bought this for customizing my gi joe classified and can’t wait to really get into airbrushingProduct arrived on time and well packaged. All of the tools seem to be solidly built. The mini angle grinder is being used to cut through steel and plastic as one would with a Dremel (Worx version of that is also included in this kit). Thus far the grinder is the only tool that I have used extensively. While the grinder will cut through materials you do have to do so at a slower pace that a corded heavier duty product. If you push it too hard it will stall and then restart once clear of the work. I used it with the supplied cutting wheel to cut through plastic that was about 2 or 3/16th thick tub surround, so it was fairly stout material. The cutting wheel was also fairly think at about 2/16th. The cut was about four feet long. It took about ten minutes to complete the cut, with numerous stops and starts along the way. The two amp hour battery was just enough to get the job done. Using a narrower 1/16 cutting disc might have allowed to tool to cut both easier and faster. While I have not used the other two tools a did a little very light testing on them and both the moto tool (Dremel type tool) and the soldering iron seemed to perform well. Just remember that these are intended to he HOPBBYIST tools, not serious shop use tools.I really liked the cordless flexibility in use. The functionality that the battery power gives is amazing. It allows for the actual unit to be thinner and lighter to useEverything just worked as advertised and flawlessly. One of the better products I have purchased in a while.Liked no annoying plugin cord.Lots of power and relatively quiet. Out performed my old dremel which overheated and died.Wood carving bits work awesome and wood burner does its job well.Me facilite le travail, j'avais déjà un outils worx, batterie compatible!!!Très satisfaite de mon achat... je vais sûrement ajouter d'autres outilsTrès bien exepté que la batterie est de 1.5Ah et non 2Ah et ça prend 10h à charger.I like its value and its quality.
