So, it turned out that I needed a watch press. I had a crystal on one of my watches replaced by a professional jeweler. After nearly two weeks, I got the watch back, but noticed that the 9 o'clock area of the crystal was "proud" above the bezel. Not wanting to wait another two weeks for a fix, I found appropriate size dies and used the press in this tool kit. A few seconds later, my crystal was perfectly flush with the bezel. (Many watch crystals are simply pressed, friction-fit in place.)Subsequently, a different watch had the hour hand work loose off the pinion. Though it was still trapped by the minute hand, the hour hand no longer told time. The watch has a friction-fit case back and is 100M water resistant. As you might imagine, that case back was a devil to get off, but it helps when you have the right tools - that come in this kit. I was able to open the watch, remove the crown and stem, and get the movement out of the case, so I could work on the hands. After re-seating the hour hand and reassembling the watch, I needed that watch press again to put the case-back, back on the watch.I'm now giving consideration to modding my Casio GA-B2100 (the "CasiOak"), with BGW9 luminescent hands, hour, and chapter ring markers. The lume on the hands from the factory is not very good, in my opinion, and there is no lume on the hour and chapter markers. Changing the hour and chapter rings - you guessed it - requires a watch press to remove and re-install the crystal, in order to access those parts. Might as well change out the hands, with much better lumed ones, while the watch is apart.I realize that "tinkering" with watches isn't everyone's cup of tea. But, I've been taking things apart and putting them back together for as long as I can remember. If you're into maintaining your own watches instead of paying someone else, then this tool kit is essential. Now, granted, if I had a $10,000 watch, I would still use a professional. But I don't have that kind of money, so for the watches I have, I have no problem doing things myself.
